This rotary tool is great. It is quiet and powerful. It carries a charge and does not lose power for a long time.

I purchased this to trim my dogs nails as I don’t like to use the cutters (too worried about nipping the quick). I read the reviews on this and the other ‘trendy’ dog groomers and decided to purchase the dremel over the so-called pet groomers. This tool works great and my dog doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed with it. I only need to use the ‘low’ speed. The charge lasts through two uses (at least 2-3 weeks in between). I would purchase this again.

I ordered the dremel tool to grind the edges of my concrete leaves that I sandcast. I love it! It is the perfect tool for the job and saves me tons of time and energy. I also ordered the extra battery but don’t think I really need it because I can use my tool for 20 or 30 minutes at a time and the original battery has not gone dead yet. I love the case also because I know where all the accessories are when ever I need them.

I purchased this specifically for our Bassett Hound’s nails, which are massive. I had read a review of it from another purchaser that suggested it for large dogs. Well, it really does the trick and quickly too. I am very pleased I had followed the suggestion, because another less powerful would not have worked on him.

I would definitely reccomend this for large dog owners who want to do the job quickly. I certainly didn’t have to struggle with him, which also made the job so much easier.

From the beginning, as soon as I could figure out how to assemble the proper accessory, I loved this tool. It perfectly suits my purpose. The company is wonderful to deal with. The packaging was well composed. Delivery came before the expected date. From my large Shepherd’s nails to odd jobs around the house…I’m very satisfied with the performance.

      Good product for light work

I bought this Dremel for general work with plastics and metals. It does great with the plastics – works like a charm. It is not near powerful enough for cutting and grinding metal, glass, or porcelain. It will do the job, but it will take FOREVER! I love this tool for most light duty stuff, though. I ended up upgrading to the 8000-03 (the 10.8 volt Dremel) for myself (I love it!), and giving this one to my wife for her craft work. She likes it much more than the 10.8 volt one, because it is lots smaller and does what she needs.

      10000-20000 rpm only

I love this tool and use it a lot. Contrary to other people, I am able to use the tool for a good hour before the battery starts dwindling.

I just wanted to point out that the shipping units have two fixed speeds 10000 or 20000 rpm. It does not have 5000 or any other number as suggested by the specifications on this product page. That is a big flaw in my opinion, as you can only select between two rather high RPMs. I use the tool to polish things, and even at the lower 10000rpm setting, the tool is too fast and generates lots of heat.

I need to go get a 5000RPM version, so I wish i bought the more expensive Li-Ion unit which has variable speed down to 5000 rpm. :(

This is an excellent tool. I use it weekly to trim my puppies nails. Plenty of power and I have used it several times without having to recharge the tool. Comes with a large assortment of accessories, including a carrying case which has room for other puppy items. This has a lot more power and stays charged longer than the cheap models advertised on TV, pay the little bit extra and you will be a lot happier when you use the tool.

If you use the tool to trim an animals nails, use on low speed.

      Weak performance, weak battery.

I found this to be an okay tool for very short-duration, light duty projects. But the battery does not last very long (probably less than ten minutes working time) and quite slow and weak. All-in-all, a disappointment.

Great item with handy storage bag

Before I bought this item I researched it quite a bit online. My purpose for purchasing this was to use it as a nail trimmer for my large breed dog’s nails. Worked like a charm! My youngest pup is a little afraid of it still so we are going slowly with her until eventually she will see that it’s ok. I highly recommend if you are using this as a nail trimmer that you get information and learn how to use it on animals so that you don’t injure them or burn their nails. It has lots of tips if you needed it for various other uses and I love the storage bag to keep it all in.
