AC charger a must; great for pets
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Everyone I know who has a dog uses a Dremel to trim their pet’s nails, so when we brought home our first pooch a couple months ago, this product was high on my “must buy” list. Even though this model is more expensive than the pet-specific Dremel, I chose this product because because I liked the AC charger (definitely better than a cord or batteries!) and its versatility. Who knows, I may take up woodworking someday.
Easy Peasy!

After hours of agonizing searches and reading tons of reviews, I finally broke down and bought the Dremel rotary. The specific purpose was to sand my dog’s nail. I was very concern that it wouldn’t work or have difficulty as some experienced, but that was not the case.
It was easy to put together and then to charge. I spend several days just turning the rotary on (without the sander attachment) so my dog would get use to the noise. Each time it was left on I would give her small pieces of treats. After like 5 minutes I started to touch her paws to the rotary. I would turn it off then turn it back on just so she wouldn’t be startled by the noise. Needless to say after about 5 days of this, I finally gather up the courage and tried it out on her nails. Overall, I am very please with the rotary’s performance. I did just a small amount as I read in [...]
The Dremel did not run out of battery juice in the 15-20 minutes I used it (I would turn it off when not in use). On a 11 pound dog the rotary was the right power. Highly recommend this for grooming your dog. Oh yeah, the grooming experience was very pleasant — no more pulling, yanking, whining, and cutting to the quick!
Great for my job

I am a groomers assitant and am always grinding nails. I have used a slower speed dremel which we sell at my store, and a goodwrench brand one. I have always gone with this one because it gets the job done the fastest it fits in my hand the best and the blue sudden stop button is always great when a tail suddenly wags in the way. It also does amazing things when i have to deal with dagger style nails… At this price it is the best buy out there too.
Very happy!

I do artificial gel nails for a living and love this cordless drill! The battery lasts just about the whole day but having a fully charged back up battery is a must. I’ve been using one for over 5 years now and purchased this one as a back up in case my old one shuts down. Price was good too!!!
Makes nail trims easy!

If you have a dog with difficult nails to trim or are sick of spending $10 or $15 at the groomer every few weeks, buy this tool!
My dog’s nails are thick, tough, and her short legs and small paws make clipping her nails nearly impossible. She hates it, they always bleed, and therefore we just have let them go. This tool is perfect, and I’m actually *enjoying* getting her nails back in shape (and she doesn’t mind at all, with the help of some treats). The Dremel is lightweight, quiet, the charge holds well, it’s easy to maneuver and the “low” speed is great for trimming but not getting too hot.
For reference, I use the 1/2 inch drum with 120 fine grit bands, but for her curved front nails, I’ll probably pick up a 1/4 inch drum and bands. The “doberdawn” how-to link that is in another review is all the instruction you need on technique.
This is the best money I’ve spent in a long time.
Great Tool for Canine Nail grooming!

This is my second Dremel – I moved and haven’t found the other one yet but I needed one and I love the Dremel so much. It’s great and does the job quickly and well. No ragged edges, not a lot of noise (I have a scaredy cat dog!) and easy to handle. Love this tool!
No power

I put this back in the box and returned it. The battery lasted about 5 minutes and it had no power.I planned to trim molding to put down a wood floor but could not get through one piece of molding. Get the electric one if you have too but I found out Dremel was bought out and you can’t get parts to fix them.
Mini Dremel is Terrific

The Dremel 750-02 Minimite is exactly what we were searching for and not found in any store. Our online search brought us to Amazon.com where we often shop with our one-click-shopping and they had exactly what we needed. Our little new puppy allows us to trim his “nails” with this wonderful, time saving tool. Easy shopping and easy use! A winner!
Terrible, no power at all!
Oh well.

I bought this to try to trim my dogs nails as recommended by the vet. It did not come close to working – every time I put it near his nails, it would just stop. My dog is about 70 pounds, so maybe it would work on small dogs and other household projects, but definitely not a big dog’s nails. He’s still going to the vet for his nail trims which is unfortunate because he wasn’t scared of the dremel at all and is terrified of the vet

I purchased this to do my dogs nails and it works beautifully. My dogs hate it but I love it.
