    Wears out too quick

I thought these would be great for taking the fuzz off some carvings I made with my Carvewright machine. They begin to work but wear out so quickly that you end up using several for one job. That adds too much cost to the project. I could make it work if they were around $1 each, but not at this price. I still have not found the perfect accessory to smooth these carvings.

    Tried sanding wood only

I needed to sand the inside of a routered groove on several things I built. When I saw this I thought it would be great for sanding where the router bit fuzzed up the grain. It worked but wore out so quickly I can’t afford to use them for all I have to do. It may work great with other applications.

They Work as designed (WAD). Just like sanding, let the tool do the work. Digging in may buff slightly faster but the wheeels will wear out twice as fast. The EZ lock works well and the buffer are great for small jobs.

Expensive, but oh! so worth it

I’ve become addicted to these buffs and use them to touch-clean soft metal and to give a final brushed finish to metal parts. I do have to agree with previous reviewers that these buffs go quickly, especially when used on sharp edges, but so far, I haven’t been able to duplicate the result with any other brush or sander. These buffs allow one to skip at least two steps in final polishing and the saved time is entirely worth this somewhat pricey product. Now, if I could only get them wholesale somewhere!

Work great, but do not last long
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These buffs do a great job of light sanding and polishing. They do not last long, but if you are careful about keeping the direction of rotation away from any edges they will last a lot longer. Definitely wear safety glasses, as the buffing material flies everywhere. Would like to see these in larger value packaging.

    Expensive but great product

The new EZ Lock system is fantastic. The abrasive buffs are very helpful for detail work but it cannot be denied that they are very expensive and do not last long.

    Dremel EZ Lock Abrasive Buffs
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The EZ Lock works great and is fast to install. Initial cost of spindle adds to cost, but can be used for other applications. The abrasive buffs are not as aabrasive as I had hoped for, but do the job taking a little longer. They are more for polish than real abrasive as the “Buffs” might imply. I did find the selection and cost better at the local Home Depot after I receoved the order, but put that in the experience column to check around.
