Should have bought the multi-speed model.

This Dremmel tool worked ok for a few jobs, but having only one speed limits its use. It didn’t come with any adapters either. Wish I would’ve spent the extra money for a more versatile tool.

Prior Dremel was a variable speed, which I rarely used below full speed. The new one works as advertised and I am quite pleased with it.

Works very good, using to sharpen my chain saw. The old sears chain sharpen just wore out after 15 years. Took the part that is used in the old one and put it on this new one. Works great and I can use this mutli ways.
Basic Dremel Tool

With an inexpensive foot controller, this single-speed Dremel tool is all you need for many applications. Takes all the standard accessories. No runout or looseness in the spindle, no vibration. Plenty of power for typical Dremel tasks.
Great Kit for Cutting and Drilling

This is not a bad set at all, and this comes from someone who is no expert of metal shops, lolz. It’s a useful tool to accomplish tasks that require a very high speed.
Unfortunately, this item is not for everything in desire. You can’t use it to clean electronics for example, the speed is too great for that kind of stuff. They should have added speed control. I mean, why isn’t there? All it is here is an on/off device, nothing between.
Considering the price and the value of money, I highly recommend it. Buy some tool bits with it too!
Extra power is better.

I bought this to replace my battery-powered 20K rpm dremel (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000302Y2) and the difference is vast. For one thing, after a year or so the battery stopped holding a charge.
For another, the extra power makes a world of difference (as you might expect). The old tool simply wasn’t up to many jobs.

I received this item as a gift. I contacted Amazon so I could obtain the the order number for a return. I love Dremel products, I just wanted a Dremel with a variable speed control. I was connected with someone from a call center in India, we had to go over the buyers email address about 5 times before she finally had it right. We had to go over my email address about 3 times before she got it. I eventually got the order number, I finished the phone call with one final question, ” You will not contact/inform the original Buyer/Gift Giver in any way right” she assured me they would not. Well she did, she sent the return initiation email to my Girlfriend instead of me, needless to say my girlfriends feelings were hurt. Thanks deepshikhas you ruined Christmas.

Although I initially liked this product, having had it for several months has opened my eyes to a very serious flaw with this product. Every single attachment that you purchase is disposable and many of them wear out before you can finish the job at hand.
Case in point, I am writing this review as a release of my frustration of having just worn out a wirebrush trying to brush paint off of a single doorknob plate.
If you’re willing to spend hundreds of dollars on attachments (the same ones, over and over again) this is the tool for you.
